Suddenly the door banged open and Father stumbled out with his clothes all in a bundle. "It's an earthquake, I think, " he and I shouted. He had washed his hair the night before and had not had time to twist it into a queue, so it hung down his black long and black.
He looked around in the back yard. It was such a wide, open space that we were fairly safe there. Certainly more safe than in the frame doorway of our stable. He got into his pants and shirt and then his socks and boots.
"Do you think one of the mean dragons is doing all this?" I asked him.
"Maybe. Maybe not." Father had sat down to stuff his feet into his boots. "Time to wonder about that later. Now you wait here."
"No, I want to tell to the neighbors and Miss Whitlaw that the earthquake will happen soon."
"Son, It is very danger now. Earthquake will happen at any moment." Father shouted at me.
I wanted to retort him. When I tried to shout, the city bells was ringing. They were rung by no human hand---the earthquake had just shaken them in their steeples.The second tremor was worse than the first. From all over came an immense wall of noise: of metal tearing, of bricks crashing, of wooding breaking free from wood nails, and all. Everywhere, what man had built came undone. I was looking at a tenement house to our right and it just seemed to shudder and then collapse. One moment there were solid wooden walls and the next moment it had fallen with the cracking of wood and the tinkling of glass and the screams of people inside and I was the people who screamed too.
"Now you can see how danger it is. Stay here and calm down yourself" Father said and gave me a pat.
"I am sorry." I said it in a soft voice.

newspaper response--small class teaching

Small class teaching can let students easily understand what teacher said and teachers also can manage their students easily. Small class teaching may also increase the average marks of the students because of teachers can use different kinds of teaching materials to let students enjoy the lessons and students won't think the lessons are boring.
Also, small class teaching can reduce the pressure of the teachers and teachers can know more information of their students. Students' parents will feel more relived and many students will agree this project. I am student and I agree small class teaching because I think teachers will know what kinds of knowledge is suitable for us.
The defects of small class teaching are the school need to pay much money than now and need to open more classes to take care the students. The schools also may not have enough money to employ teachers. I think the department of education need to open some courses to train the teachers. Small class teaching will be the important event if the department really can do it.

1)How did the colonists unite America?
The colonists united to America after The Second Continental Congress and the colonists proclaimed The Declaration of Independence in 1776.Britain also signed the Treaty of Paris to recognize the independence of the 13 Colonies.

2)How did the legislative take part in the structure of the federal government?
The legislature makes laws and they can impeach the President in the structure of the federal government.

3)How did the revolution happen?
The revolution happened because the 13 Colonies wanted to independence so that they brought about The American Revolution in 1775-1783.

4)Why did the people in the Enlightenment object to absolute power?
The people in Enlightenment object to absolute power because the thinkers during the Enlightenment wrote many books about new ideas and the relationship between people and the government so that made people had new ideas about people’s right and they tried and wanted to end all the unfair things in society.

5)Explain one of the acts that created economic discontent amongst the America colonists?
The 13 Colonies wanted to trade freely because Britain didn’t let them produce things that would compete with goods and Britain just got cheap raw materials and a big market for her goods from the colonists.

My experience of 24.2.08

I went to Nathan Road with my groupmates at 5:00 p.m. We splited into two groups to ask foreigners about the questions of air pollution in Yau Ma Tei.Phyllis and I went to Eaton Hotel to do the interview.
When Phyllis was in charge of questions and I would wrote down the answer of foreigners,so that I have to pay attention on their conversation.From the beginning,it was quite smooth to get the comments from the foreigners, but sometimes it was impeded by couple of them just stayed in Hong Kong few days only,so that they had no idea for us. Some of them advised that their country 's air quality is better than Hong Kong and suggested their methods to solve the air pollution.
It is a good experience from this interview.I could learnt to take the notes in shorthand and be brave to face with the strangers.

History Assignment 15.02.08

My name was Narciso Casanovas. I was born and lived in Vinci in Florence in Italy. I was born at 12nd June,1463 and died at 24st March, 1531. I had one sister, she was older than me seven years.
I was a poet and painter. I wrote a lot of famous works such as “La Divina Commedia”, “A Lover's Complaint” and “The Passionate Pilgrim”. I also made “La nascita di Venere” and “Adorazione dei Magi”. These works were used three-dimensional effect, so that my works all were realistic and colourful.
I enjoyed my life very much because I proud of my works. Although I was died when I was 68 years old, I was still young, I think my life was meaningful.

Weekend Homework of 16.12.07

The International Food Fair held by Methodist College on the 7th December,2007.This food fair is for F.2 students in Methodist College.They made different countries foods.They planned this project because they want to learn the culture of different countries.After this food fair,many students think that they have learnt how to attract people to buy their foods.

Before the food fair,the students need to use a lot of money to buy food and decorations.Their money was came from the donation of other people or students.All F.2 students did their best on that day.All teachers praise them because they think F.2 students did a great job.

Experience of Food Fair

From Monday,3rd of December,we started to prepare everything.First,we made the banner.It toke us almost 2 hours.We made the banner,poster and our gingerman until Wednesday.Then we bought the ingredients of our foods to make the puddings and gingerbread man cookies.

For the day of International Food Fair,Mr.Woo told us,no board for us but we suppose many things will put and stick onto the board.We thought many ways to put our decoration but we still felt disappointed about this.After few minutes,Mr.Woo came back.He told us something that I don't ever hear from other teachers.He said we need to take the tables by ourselves,now is life education.We may throw that schedule away and do what we want to do.

When we started to prepare,many problems came out.Many teachers said that we can't use six tables for our store because this is unfair.At last,we used it but we cleaned up by ourselves.I think this is fair.Mr.Woo called us we need to fight for what we want,just do it,and we need to be responsible for it too.Thanks for Mr.Woo,you have been taught a important lesson for me.

On that day,I felt very happy because our puddings and cookies were sold out.I learnt many things from International Food Fair.I shouted to everyone and I played with other groups.

I will remember what you told to us and what you did for us.Thank you Mr.Woo.

The British general cooking methods are barbecue,fried and braise.The meat, seafood, game cooking are unique manner.However, their beef categories have special preferences, such as barbecue beef,and put some seasonal vegetables and add the mustard in a little steak.

Britons have different requirements on three meals a day.Breakfast need to make them feel fully.Lunch need to be simple.Dinner need to be delicious,therefore they are usually well prepare for the dinner.

The famous England foods are Steak Kidney Pie and English Fish Chip.

Weekend Homework of 24.11.07

I think this time was better than the first time to do filming and the speed of this time is faster than the first time too.I think it is because we had the experience.When we arrived to Cococat Cafe,we still hesitate because my groupmate-Phyllis is scared of cat.At last,we went in the cafe.At the beginning,she still scared of the cats so that we need to make sure no cats were near us.Then,we can start to film.Finally,she didn't scared anymore and we can smoothly to film.
I think I need to say sorry to my groupmates because I always play with the cats therefore didn't standby to film.
I think we can prepare the script before we go to restaurant.We didnt prepare any script before we went to Chococat Cafe.We didnt write script so that we need to spend time in script in Chococat Cafe.I think if we have prepare our script,we can do faster.
I hope that my group can do better next time.

I have learnt how to make a delicious lemon cake.And we made this cake just need 30 minutes to finish.I tried to combine the videos ,but I cant do it because of my computer cant use the software.So that I need other group members to help me finish this job.I knew that not all works can one person to finish it,we need to cooperate and finish our works.Teamwork is very important.
